Hello.

I'm viewing a 1970 Fiat 500 over the weekend. It has spent most of it's life over on the Continent. By the photos, it looks in good condition.

I was wondering where I should look for any signs of rust? The less obvious places which a cursory look would miss.

Thank you.

potentially everywhere. Would start by looking thoroughly at wheel arches.

Thanks erics. I went ahead and bought the car last Saturday. It's really solid, having recently been restored. Here's some photos taken during that restoration.

I'm now going to take it apart again, respray it in Avorio chiaro (light ivory), convert it to RHD, put in electronic ignition, an alternator and an electric fuel pump and then give it to Mrs Blib for her "mumble-mumble" birthday. smile
