Afternoon all,
I haven't been on here to post for a while, bear with me on this one... I live in Worthing to and i'm looking for help in a fundraising challenge that I am 2 others are taking part in in May called the Scumrun (Scumrun.co.uk).
The Scumrun is a 4 day charity event where approximately 100 cars travel 3000 miles across Europe following an undisclosed route to raise money for charity. The route is given to us each morning and we have checkpoints to target throughout the day. The car's used must have cost less than £500 to purchase and make the challenge of driving through Europe a little more interesting.
The 2013 route took participants from Dover, Calais, Cologne, Hamelin, Berlin, Polish Border, Prague, Pizen, Amberg, Stuttgart, Strasbourg, Champagne region of France and back home again.
This year the Scumrun will be raising money for the baby charity Tommy's and the teams are aiming to raise collectively £100,000.00 to help Tommy's open a new research centre. Tommy's is dedicated to saving babies lives through funding research into the causes and prevention of miscarriage, premature birth and stillbirth.
I would like to offer you the opportunity to have your business logo/contact details displayed on our car in return for a donation.
This is a great opportunity to help promote a business whilst helping a local person raise money for a great cause at the same time.
In 2014 the top fundraising team donated a total of £3600, and of course we would like to beat this target set. Please be rest assured that every penny donated goes directly to the charity and all costs involved with the event are borne by our team such as buying the car, registration, maintenance, ferry crossings, fuel.
To maintain clarity we have set up a Virgin Giving website which can be found here at www.virginmoneygiving.com/ScabbyDonkey so that everyone can see how much we have raised.
