How Viable Is This ?
Discussion
What do you mean 'how viable'? Do you mean, is that a good example to buy?
I mean it's a PROPER sport model. Not one of those fake Ci things.
I couldn't be bothered for the LPG conversion to be honest, but it looks a decent car. They are e36 M3 wheels, I think?
Also, £37 for 285 miles. Mine will cover 400 miles from a full tank (£70 or so), so it doesn't seem like the LPG is actually that good.... 13p per mile vs 17.5p; hardly worth shouting from the hills (unless you do crazy mileage).

I was wondering about the performance : cost ratio in comparison to the 3.0 Diesel ?

I like the minor spots of rust, my wife's 2002 e46 does not have any rust other than where some paint was scraped off by an idiot in a car park. If thisv is rust coming up through the paint I would be wondering why. daemon said:

No, they're not. I think they were an upgrade on SE models - the 2003 320d SE that i had had them.No idea why someone would swap off MV1s for them

The wheel arches are a common area for rust on pre-facelift models. It's a design fault where the wheel arch liner rubs the inside of the arch, wearing the paint down. Crap from the road gets in, and so the rusting process commences. As a preventative measure it is a good idea to get the liner out, clean the inside of the arch out and then waxoyl it.
Yes, any i've come across in the trade of that era have needed the wings replacing.Gassing Station | General Gassing | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
