Hi, as the title suggests.... have some speakers I want to sell, Google just brings up some weird music forums - I am not sure eBay is the right place for these so does anyone know if there is a good place to list items?

Thanks smile

Hifi Wigwam is a good forum. Get on there, introduce yourself and ask them what the process is to sell on there (memberships etc.)

Great thank you for that suggestion.... that's great, I have no idea if my old stuff is 'classic' or simply regarded as old junk... so I guess I need to work that bit out first smile

You could try here.

As far as the 'Wam goes, the T&C's are listed on the Private Classifieds page. However, I'm not sure what reaction you'd get if your first post is a sales post. As a forum, I've always thought it's a bit Royston Vasey. I much prefer PinkFish, but you need 50 posts to sell anything on there.

Go on, give us a run down......

Alternatively, you can go onto any of the forums and just search for the bits. The returns will give you a good idea what is well regarded.

Thanks will look at both of those, although having to post chatter about Hi-Fi puts me off really smile

Maybe once I have worked out how much I should sell them for I will stick them on PH classifieds or eBay (although the random classification and 'other' section is a bit confusing)... just worked out they are about 22/24 years old so my guess is that nobody would likely to be interested!

I second AVforums, however recent rule changes mean that you need to make some posts to get some 'likes' before you can advertise. They are also strict about not advertising elsewhere and any bartering has to be done on the thread (ie no offers via PMs).

I've bought and sold quite a bit on AVForums classifieds myself, but the only issue is that buyers seem to expect that whatever you are selling should be cheaper than the last time the same item was sold. If someone sells an item very cheaply because they are desperate for the money then this sets the future price for anyone else selling and it's very hard, if not impossible, to then sell for more.

PS. If anyone knows of a decent 3 or 5 channel power amp (suitable for 4ohm load) for sale anywhere let me know since nothing on AVforums for the last month has been suitable/affordable...

Heco - floor standing ones smile

I have found a company that deals in new and used, as I want some new but smaller to replace them with then maybe that's the route to head down? I am not very clued up on HiFi and I don't have time to get involved in forums in order to earn credit so fingers crossed they can help! thanks for the replies.
