Great value find.. if you want a solid Cerbera
Discussion
I have been looking to get back into a V8 TVR for some time, having had a Chimaera 500 then a Tamora and thought it was time to check out an AJP powered Cerbera.
This one http://www.pistonheads.com/classifieds/used-cars/t... was close to me and Vixpy1 showed me around and took me out in it.
It is exactly what it says on the tin.. if not better – bodywork and engine much better than I expected to find. The engine pulls smoothly and sounds just great, and was matched by how it felt on the road. Even with the road conditions far from perfect the Cerbera felt sure footed and accelerated fast and straight. Firm ride that you just know you could eat up the miles in.
Is it for me? Sadly not, the windscreen is just too much like a letter box, I wanted a bigger view out, so it is back to a Chimaera for me.
Thanks Vixpy1, great drive and I am sure that your Cerbera will get snapped up fast, a great car at a great price

I don't know the car, but perhaps it is too cheap, and that is what is putting people off?! Scared about being stung by a cheap one?!
Very true this - I am tempted and looking to add a cerb and fancy the idea of a restoration, and then I think costs and am I inheriting a money pit when I could buy a stunner for c£24k?? Decisions, decisions

I believe it's too cheap as well! I've told him he should put it back up to 10k !!

Buying a 24k car doesn't guarantee it isn't a money pit.
How about buying a 7.5k car and spending your change on a 4.7 rebuild when/if it ever needs it. What are they making now - 480bhp?

Shame, would love for it to go to a fellow pher and tvr fan! Don't rule out Cerberas completely though, try looking for a lightweight model, they appear to have a much larger view, they have a smaller bar at the top and no sun visors, so you will need a good pair of sunglasses lol, I use to drive one and I think there is a big difference!
