Hi All,

With summer just around the corner (uh huh...) I'm thinking of a sub £10k family convertible.

All I can think of off the top of my thinning hair line are as follows -

Audi S4
BMW M3
Merc CLK

The noisier/faster the better, of course :-)

Any other suggestions?

TIA,

C.

You'd do well to remember the Clarkson quote....
"The only person ever to look good in the back of a convertible was Hitler"
HTH...! smile
eta, if you want 'different', then these are not your 'run of the mill' Germanic offerings -

and if you can stretch a to a bit more, then this - well it is Pistonheads....

C70 T5 with all of it's silencers removed? I think Ferrita make a suitably raucous exhaust for it...

Dont bother with all that foreign built rubbish.
Get a homegrown convertible and there is room for five.

You could easily get a 2.8v6 Saab 93 convertible for that kind of money. Not up there with your first three, but easily in budget and still a pretty good looking car.

Cutting the roof off a car reduces its torsional stiffness.

Well having owned one i dont recall any wobbly problems other than the normal Cortina ones. If there was a problem i dont think they would have been sold through Ford dealerships.

I'm not normally a fan of four seat convertibles but that really looks the business.

It's not to say there's a problem as such, but it was asked why convertibles are less stiff than hard-tops and the answer was given smile

Ahh thankyou, i just wondered why HUMBLEJIM felt the Crayford would be wobbly and not the other convertibles.
