So it looks as though the Mrs simply won't go for a replacement Disco so we simply have to go for. RR!
I don't fit in a Sport, thank God so that leaves the FFRR. diesel so seems for our use a 4.4 TDV8 is the one we would get.

That appears to be the facelift with LED surrounds in headlights so looks the same as the very latest cars pre 405?

Now to the questions; what do people who know these think are the must haves? Obviously an SE spec seems fairly comprehensive but???

We're there any major tweaks post the 'new' 4.4 engine? Anything major to worry about? Have read a couple of buyers guides including PH.

Any pointers greatly appreciated!
Thanks in advance

actually if you do a max price of £50k on PH classifieds it is damn good value, cheaper than a lot of the SE's and westminsters, and it has shed loads of more spec.

Thanks for posting details and links.
Unfortunately this may be just above budget and personally not 100% on the interior (for me/us) although it does appear a nice model with top spec etc.

Just need to have a good look at the man maths smile

Looking at our franchised dealer at the weekend so will come back either way so as to avoid any confusion

Jon - what's it been like to live with, why you getting rid, and would you have another? Any issues, problems and if recurrent what were they if you don't mind me asking...I'm also interested in these at the moment.

Nothing recurrent, I've had 3 now, and need to realise the depreciation before the tax year end. Love em to bits but can't justify the cost of a new 4.4 autobiography in this spec so dipping over to Porsche for 12-18m then will get a new one once they start discounting again.

The only issue I've had is on the brand new 2010 one I bought, had it 8hrs and did 50 miles before the turbo blew. Ten swapped it for another new car under warranty

Many thanks - it's exactly the issue you cite why I'm not thinking of a brand new one...quite a price hike over last model and second-hand values often stronger than list; so I thought a low-mileage 4.4 AutoBiog or Westmknster 62 plate that's done a chunk of its depreciation might be way to go.

Thanks for allaying my fears that "they all break down every week"...am I correct in thinking that the view is that the run-out models were finally sorted (at last)?

mine hasn't batted an eye lid over the 37k miles i've done, and now I've just her I'm gonna miss the old girl when she goes on tuesday. The cayenne is a different animal all together.

downside as she's sold quicker that expected i'm spending the next 8 weeks swapping between my 2001 y reg punto hgt and the wifes q3.
