I'm close to needing a new set of tyres all round, currently fitted with Michelins which are great but just wondering if other makes maybe marginally better for any reason.
I need durability as well as performance so really want my cake and eat it too!
I have 20" wheels fitted.

Any feedback greatly appreciated.

Nothing better than Michelin PSS IMO, either for grip or wear.

I'm on 10700 so far, the front tyre edges looking rather shabby, rears still have a few miles left.
Rather replace early than too late though.

Any track hoonage within those miles or pure road?

Curious as i've a few track days booked so needing to gauge when i need to be thinking about fresh rubber?

How many miles have you had on a set? And since this can vary a lot, is your answer to the legal limit or the recommended 3mm?

The current set on my M5, which are the first set I've had on it, have done just a few hundred miles over 9,000. Fronts are currently at 6.5mm, rears 5mm.

All,

I am an imposter but would appreciate your feedback.

I am thinking of putting PSS on my 640D to replace the 20 inch Dunlop Run Flats. I'm not too concerned about wear, but I am looking for an improved ride.

Can you let me know what you think of the ride quality and noise levels.

Thanks
Andrew

No track days, lots of motorways, A roads and a few heavy right foot blasts.

I think ride quality is very good - have done 30k now on them on my M5. Wear is also excellent - I would probably have run my first set for 22k if it wasn't for a puncture.

I have been so impressed, I have just changed the galactic emperors TT over to PSSs from Pirellis. I think they have improved the ride on her car (which IMO is the worst riding car we have ever owned) as well as the handling.

Good to hear about ride comfort. What is the road noise like?

Thanks

Thanks. Looking forward to putting the rubber through it's paces during a couple of track outings in Marchsmile

PSS Noise is very good, maybe just a fraction louder than the PS/2.
