Drove the car for the first time in several months today during a rare dry spell!
Bumped into oldredv8s by chance and now thinking about a suspension refresh (thanks Paul!).
Are gazgold pros the only real option to consider on an S (V8s)?
And I see on the suspension wiki that there are a wide range of spring rates used.
Car won't be used on track so looking for fast road but with some comfort. Would love to hear people's experiences.

When my gaz golds have had it I'm planning on replacing with nitons. Won't be cheap though as they cost about twice the amout as a new set of gaz golds. Can be found for starters on the ml performance website in the s series suspension section. The V8s may be preferable with different springs to other s' though.

I know in general that you get what you pay for. And I am also aware of the various manufacturers !
Looking to get advice based on people's real experiences of having suspension refreshes on their cars - and hearing what works and what does not.
Now thinking that Gaz Monotubes might be the way to go.

Hi Stu,
During the rebuild Nitrons were my option but talking with RT Richard
He convinced me that value for money the GGPros win over.
At that time it was £600 against over £1000.
As the guys say, 'Get what you pay for of course' but value for money
for what you'll use them for think Nitrons as I thought in the end will be
over kill.
Clocked up a far few miles now and mine still going strong and I'm happy.

Brief update as just back with the car from Derek.
I asked Derek to set the car up for fast road and touring - I know this is probably an incompatible ask but I have the Euro tour in mind and was conscious of the load of two passengers and a full boot of luggage.
Initial thoughts on the 1 hour 15 min drive home:
The car handles superbly - the roll around corners and snaking that occurred when exiting them is completely eliminated. This inspires much more confidence in the car.
The ride is also much improved with a lot of the jitteriness also gone - very pleased with this given the improved handling also.
Tough to compare to GGP's but very pleased with the performance of the Gaz Monotubes (which were fitted upside down to reduce unsprung weight (so Derek tole me
).
The ride height is a little low for me so I will put a few miles on the car and then return it to Derek to be raised about an inch.
