Rather than kill a thread, please keep it going. I'm in the same situation - looking to make a choice.
Yes, there is historical stuff on PH, but peoples perceptions change, with new members (or even old members) contributing fresh views rather than the tired views from the usual suspects.
Or as my mate says, "move along if it doesn't interest you"

I don't police the forum but if something has been done to death already, I will point it out.
It does surprise me that people looking to buy expensive cars cannot navigate a search function before they see if the question has been asked a dozen times already.
And on that note I am off to finish nursing my hangover.

Just ask yourself "which one do I actually want." Sounds obvious but......If you genuinely can't decide, then buy either one and no harm done.
For what it's worth, I would have the S every time. It's faster and does everything the turbo does except it's "one louder" in every regard which is exactly what a 911 Turbo is all about.
You could actually argue that the turbo S is actually THE 911 turbo and the the other one is the " 911 turbo light"

I repeat, time changes, new members have new or revised views on the cars, problems or advice, so why Spike the conversation? If it does not interest you, move on and put your responses to some good use on another topic :-)
PH is so much more than just "one" persons 'comments'...or perhaps we accept a 'stale' PH, where no one is allowed to duplicate a topic ?
I've been to see a couple over the last two weeks and want to gain as much info as I can, so let's continue ?

Turbo S is better but costs a bit more money. If money's not the issue, get the S. I'm speaking for the 997 and 991. I'm guessing it's the same for the 996 and 993 but I could be wrong.
