I've now insured the car ready for collection on Sunday but I was told that I needed to have a Cat 2 Thatcham approved alarm fitted within 30 days.
Now I'm guessing that with the TVR electrics this is no ordinary task. Can anyone recommed a supplier in Essex who could provide and fit one.

It has to be a Thatcham certified/approved installer too. Check the installer has a certificate first.

Hope that helps.

Yep, you can't fit a CAT 1/2 Alarm yourself. Just go to any good stereo shop. The prices are all around the smae mark. You'll pay around £400 for a CAT 1. My car came with a CAT 2, but I fitted CAT 1.

There have got to be plenty of alarm/ICE fitters near you, after all Essex in the UK home for that sort of stuff.
