a good place to start?

Looks like about 5,000 ish TVRs total in the UK?

Many less wedges... a few 00's of "Tasmins" maybe you can search that site more for details on specific models?

Can the TVR-CC help with numbers? As I'm still fairly new to the TVR & Wedge scene - does the TVR-CC cover world wide or are there other TVR clubs elsewhere in the world that are not part of our TVR-CC? What happened to the original factory records for production? Do we know how many were made in the first place?

I wish I knew ....I tried to look into this a coupe of years ago in the States...with no joy. I have the 280i us spec series 2 1986 ..I believe 156 where made and about 90 came over to the States ....? I'm sure I will be corrected ....and that maybe between all wedges about 2600 made .....
Mr tank will probably know more about this .... but I know I have seen a few scraped and parts cars over the years so numbers are dwindling mate

This comes up from time to time: I think the concensus is 60-70% of all wedges built are still out there somewhere; survival rates of different models vary (i.e most of the SEACs are still on the road whereas early 2.8 Tasmin FHCs are getting scarce).

I tihnk the bible stated about 2700 odd Wedges, but I know there was a concensus that some of the figures were a ltitle out. Does make you wonder though when you see more and more being scrapped and cannabolised. Real pity, they were and are unique anyway, so making them more like rocking horse poop is a little sad. sonar

If I discount the fest and various meets etc I recon I've only seen 3 wedges on the road in the last 4/5 years of general driving so they're not exactly common biggrin

I've never seen one on the road that I can recollect,
Prob did in 80s living so close to "Mecca"
I've certainly not seen one in the last year while I've owned one.

Quite suprising how many body shells, have come to our attention this year eek. Some tasmins especially fhc are now not road registered, because of being used solely for racing etc.Is a shame though that too many are now broken .But they keep others on the road. The worst thing to happen is when they get scrapped and crushed and all the specialist parts are gone forever frown .So I suppose if parts fetch reasonable money they will keep appearing on the bay, and one of us will spot them.
