I just happened across this car in the Vale of Glamorgan, South Wales. The owner told me that he's had the car since it was two years old but that it's been sitting in a garage for the past few years. He's just getting it MoT'ed and back on the road now.

The owner seemed open to offers and gave me his business card so if anyone is interested make me aware and I'll pass on his details.

Ask him if he'll swap for a Chimaera.

I wouldn't mind a chat with the owner. If you could send the contact details to the address in my profile it would be appreciated. I tried to email you but it won't work for some reason?

Cheers Karl.

I can offer a few grand and two children for slavery. Will this do?

Serious question, what sort of figure would a car like this go for?

As little as the seller is willing to accept?

One owner for the last 20 years, maybe only one before that. If it is tip top with low miles then would it be five figures...?

If it was up for auction, would you offer five figures or half that? How badly do you want it?

...and even if it is low miles, it's unlikely to be tip top if it's been sat idle. No wear doesn't equal no problems.

If it was a 450SE then maybe....I should imagine just under five figures as long as its running sweet and needs nothing doing to it....Ziga

I've just had a chat with the owner. Sounds like a nice guy.

61000 miles laid up for around two years. Sounds like it has a few issues but nothing serious. I'll be having look if I can get down there this week. But if someone beats me to it it's not meant to be.

It's having a few bits done for an MOT at the minute.

One of my favourite TVR's of all time in one of the best colours.

Be very careful as I once bought a V8 Wedge that had been dry stored for a number of years and it was a money pit. Remember 'a rolling stone gathers no moss' and 'not everything that glitters is gold'

However, if you fall in love with the car, and it does look a nice one, then no amount of money spent is too much!

If that's been sat up doing nothing for a 'few' years then it will need a lot of work - trust me. Did someone say money pit ? they would be quite right. I'm up to around 10k so far - no paint or interior yet !

Sure that is the one I have seen on and off over the last ten years around S Wales. Obviously not the last few.

Yes it is and I used to see it all the time around Cardiff and especially Barry, Dinas Powis way. Interestingly this belongs to a friend of a client of mine and it is soon to be up for sale after being tucked away for a while. I really hope it gets a good home, I cannot justify another one as much as I would want too.

Itll probably need the same ammount of work that the 400se in blue needed, which was actually next to nothing once it was running.

Im pretty sure that it sold for less than 4.5k, and considering the fantastic condition of it, I think SOMEONE got a bargain!

This white one, in similsr condition, with more mileage, and no category write off....

Ill go 4k on it right now.

I always thought 400SE's were worth more. How much would a decent, well sorted one cost?
