Hi folks

I've been working with a fellow Sag owner to see what CF parts we can get done for our cars and what the general cost would be.

We are working on the principle of what parts are there that are worth doing and what interest is there so we can work out some
prices to see if those parts are worth doing. These CF parts would be professionally made using autoclaved designs taken straight
from the TVR bits.

So far, we have the following candidates...

  • Complete CF doors - £3k per door spec'ed.
  • Front splitter - TBD
  • Front bonnet - TBD
  • Front splitter/teeth - TBD
  • CF spoiler - TBD
  • Side mirrors - TBD
  • Rear diffuser - TBD
Price would depend on interest for units and cost of molds.

Just looking at potential interest at the moment, also if you can think of some more parts that might be worth doing, suggest
them. We can look at prices if interest.

Note - this will only go ahead if we find it economically viable to do and/or the two of us doing this project definately
want the parts doing for our own cars.

Thanks!

There are 2 TVR'S with Carbon Fibre mirrors that I know of, one being my Chimaera and a Pearl white Tuscan.
The only thing that has stopped more being made at the moment is S & D cannot get the moulds back from China.
There might be more though that others have had made.

I may be interested in the front splitters and splitter "teeth" depending on cost.

Chris, it is just the horizontal vanes (not sure the right way to spell it in this case) that hold the splitter on and direct the air in some way towards the front wheels.

Hey, Alex, great article in this month's Sprint about upgrades - thoroughly enjoyed reading that!

Now, curved pedals and a Momo Trek R wheel............

I'd be interested in the teeth, are the mirrors a better upgraded design or as per original?
I'd be interested in a more stream line design

Thanks! Although it is a year out of date now that one. I'll have to do an update sometime...

Really like the wrapped teeth, thin they look much better than the normal.

Recently got the curved pedals too but not fitted them yet.

Mirrors are an interesting question...

Yes, I'm looking into a different design in CF with power fold functionality, courtesy lights, indicators and welcome home facility,
but that was separate from this item.

What I like in a mirror is not necessarily what others want and as I'm doing that mirror for me, it will be separate from this.

  • Front splitter
  • Front teeth
Complete splitter/teeth combo in gloss finish C/F would look awesome on the right colour cars... experimented with carbon wrap on mine and it did look good...

  • CF spoiler
A proper aero/wing section gloss c/f spoiler that follows the curvature of the rear body line (and doesn't foul the tailgate) would be my idea rather than a c/f gurney - plenty of proven wind tunnel designs out there, but (obviously) not a MASSIVE one, just a couple of inches wide missus hehe ...... attached using curvy milled aluminium brackets in existing position...

  • Side mirrors
AC Schnitzer and no doubt most of the exotica out there would make a nice template

  • Rear diffuser
As per splitter - gloss c/f on a car in the right colour... very sexy biggrin

Some interior c/f - for example,
* inserts on top of the 'arm-rest shelf' on the doors ??
* stereo surround
* air vents !!!!!
* hand brake handle ??
* gas struts for the tailgate (or is that just too much ??)

Cheers

Mate, if you can get the moulds made up and autoclaved CF versions made for £500 per door, then I'm all for it.

It wasn't autoclaved granted but why does it have to be?
