My merc went yesterday, took a couple of weeks to sell and it was very competitively priced compared to others with a similar spec and millage only slightly more than WBAC offered, but I'd bought a new car so it had to go.

Having said that I had a missed call from the buyer this morning, rather hoping he's not buggered it already

Well for me a Golf syncro two and half years. I put it on a Sorn in the end, till it sold on Ebay after no joy private.

2 months to sell eventually trade in a Primera GT, I had to as it literally wouldn't sell, not even for £600 got £500 trade in which could have been worse.

Peter Jarvis Classic Cars has a Merc 300SL that I reckon, has been up for sale for nearing 10 years! It's a white one, he still uses the stock photo from when it was new stock, as the conifers in the background are mere saplings compared to other shots were they are much bigger. Have a look and see what you think.

Longest - 3 months on a perfectly decent W124 that was an ebay no-show away from being scrapped

Shortest - about 30 minutes on a Cortina where someone instantly hit the buy it now and collected the same evening

On the other hand my sister got a new car on Sat, I had someone lined up for her old car before I had got it back to the yard Sat afternoon.
