What option, originally offered from new do you wish your car had?

For me, when getting into my 2003 E39 540i on a cold morning I really wish it had heated seats fitted, even in the front only....the leather gets rather cold!

I wish my Mondeo diesel had the optional 3.0 V6 petrol engine wink

But in all seriousness, I'm with you, heated seats are under rated.

Was going to say heated seats too.

A proper iPod connection would be top of my list, and integrated Bluetooth hands free.

Rear parking sensors. The OH's car has them and they're rather helpful when you're backing up to something low. I'd have said heated seats too, but my experience of them is that only the bit that your arse goes on is heated, not the back, which is kind of silly if you ask me.

Bluetooth for me (can't believe I'm saying that) , never had it until my Ford Connect work van arrived last year and really miss it when I'm in my car.

Cruise control but it was never an option on a 306 d turbo banger.

Some sort of ipod/mp3 connection, or even just an aux in port. Don't want to carry hundreds of CDs around so got nothing to listen to but the radio.

Oh well, there's always the V10 to listen to biggrin

Is say once you've had certain options you'd likely never choose another car without them but before you had them you'd not really be too bothered.

For me
Leather
Climate
Heated and dimming wing mirrors
Auto
Cruise control
Sat Nav
Heated seats
Front and rear parking sensors
ESP
Tyre Pressure detection system
Xenons
Heated front screen(as in Ford Quick clear style)
iPod connection
Volt meter
Fuel pressure gauge
Oil temp
Water temp
Hi beam assist
Auto cruise control - slows your cruiser control down to keep to a min distance from car infront
Air cooled seats
Dynamic seats
Massaging seats
Electric seats
Lumbar support
Rear heated seats
DVD TV for the rear keep kids entertained
Big power under the bonnet.

I deliberately chose a low spec as it means less to go wrong, what with it being a ten year old Landrover, but I'd love a heated screen.

why not just take the train?

I still don't see the attraction with leather seats, they're horrible if you ask me.

In the Monaro I really wish it had heated seats. Though I totally understand why the Ozzies never fitted it even as a option laugh

In the A3 it's cruise control which I think would really compliment the DSG

Both can be retro fitted which I'll do at some point smile

They are much harder wearing than fabric plus of course simple to wipe clean where as buying fabric who knows what a previous owner has done on that seat which you cannot get it out.

Its a natural product too supple and supportive

Going from a Ford to a Vauxhall I really miss the heated front screen.

Also cruise control. Well, it actually has CC but I'd like a version that doesn't switch off whenever it feels like it.
