Can any body tell me when the new R is going to be driven in the UK on our unique roads.

I've read the snow report ones which were published last week etc, but I want to read a proper report which will give me an insight to how,it performs under normal conditions.

Customer cars have started landing in the country with first registrations due next month.

So pretty soon I'd imagine.

I'm really surprised that the uk press haven't driven them yet.

I don't think any mag has outside of the snowy test they did last week. I don't know what VW is/was up to with that but it told us nothing. Dynamically I can't imagine it being too dissimilar to the S3 though, and there are plenty of reviews for that car.

It'll better than the S3 due to the fact the steering has 'feel'.

I'm waiting on some real feedback on this to. The idea of a near 300BHP golf sounds good to me but I need more before I can order one

keep your eye on the lease deals, R golfs where available for £270 per month incl vat recently which is hugely cheap for a 30k car
