Prop shaft query

I would like to know the weight of a standard griff 500 prop shaft. Can someone who has one out of their car weight it and let me know. TIA. Jes

4365 grammes. Before you ask, I did zero the scales for the weight of the box first.



Being nosy, what are you up to and should I be interested in the nut and bolt rebuild of my Griff? Pete

Thanks. 4.5kg is a lot less than I was expecting. I am on a weight saving mission and wondered about a carbon prop. They are very expensive though and for the 2 kg saving it is a non starter
