How to change dashboard switch on a 996?

Pushed the rear window de-mist button yesterday morning and nothing happened - no click, no orange light, nothing. The right hand side of the switch (the side you push to switch it off) clicks but the left doesn't.

So I guess the micro-switch is buggered and I need a new button. Is it easy to do as a DIY job? Do I need to take the whole dash fascia off or can I just somehow slide the old button out and replace it?

Just lever off the plastic surround then unscrew the mounting either side. Access is straight forward then.
