Brake fluid - Motul RBF 660 dot 4 (buy 2 bottle kits on eBay with brake cleaner from motul)
Gearbox - standard pish

He just said use a good quality gear oil.
I just use comma 75w90 ATL which is a fairly standard transmission fluid, changed regularly it's as good as any. Proven over the last couple of years.
Google Autosave comma oils for a look.
Graham i can find that exact oil when searching google. there seems to be 2 types of 75w 90. one is fully synthetic and one is semi, so which one should i get?I just use comma 75w90 ATL which is a fairly standard transmission fluid, changed regularly it's as good as any. Steve, fully synthetic if possible but I did use semi for a year or two till last year.
Jay heal, in general terms the definitions you state are correct, however... Always read the bottle!
A high quality dot 4 like motul rbf660 has a boiling point of 325 C
A average quality dot 5.1 like comma has a boiling point of 180 C.
Happy to help
