Basically,

I am fed up up with my wiper blades juddering on the windscreen after I have cleaned the glass. So I am looking for the best exterior glass cleaner; one that doesn't smear/create greasy marks when the wipers are on/make the blades judder.

Can anyone recommend any good cleaners?

My company vehicles windows get very dirty and I just use what ever window cleaner my butler finds in Tesco.

Agree on the rainX
But as a cleaner I find the turtle wax clearvue a good product to use on a more frequent basis

Gtechniq G1 glass sealant kit. Causes rain to bead and fly off the screen with barely a need for wipers at anything over 30mph. Properly applied it will last two years (yes, really). Includes glass cleaner/polish, nano-technology based coating and a residue remover. Costs under £20.

It's a different class of product to the likes of RainX, which I've found to give quite bad smearing behind a moving wiper blade such that the visibility is worse when wipers are on fast.

If you're talking about something like RainX after the glass is clean then you're as well doing it properly and getting something that'll last absolutely ages, Gtechniq G1.

Wash the screen thoroughly with water, then dry with scrunched up black and white newspaper until it squeaks.

No magic water repelling qualities I'm afraid, just a clean windscreen that won't judder.

A quick google search says that rainx gives a donation from every purchase to brake.

Autoglym glass polish, puts the usual Windowlene spray on stuff to shame.

Nice one. Application instructions here... http://gtechniq.com/shop/3s-for-cars/exterior-coat...

Give the glass a bloody good clean with a non-wax shampoo if you have one, or just washing up liquid, before starting with the G4 polish. thumbup

Juddering almost always means that the blades need aligning properly. The reason they judder is usually because one, or both blades are not 'flopping over' in the direction of travel. Gently bend the arms to make the blades use the trailing side of the rubber all the time.

Try cleaning the actual rubber blades themselves - I find this always helps.
