Nearest snow to Motherwell

After buying a 4WD I am scunnered that there has not been the slightest hint of snow this winter down here in sunny Lanarkshire.
If I carry out my threat to the missus that one Sunday we are just going to get up early and drive until we find snow, where is the most likely, nearest place to see snow ?
Is it Glenshee? Glencoe? Or closer?

Ha ha, the replies made me laugh.
Best bet I recon would be going up the road to Ben Lawers just past Killin. The road is pretty high up so quite often has snow on it. If there isn't any then you can head up towards Glencoe or Glen Shee is another option. Main roads are usually cleared fairly quickly unless there is just too much snow..... you might find yourself stuck depending on your driving experience, your vehicle and your tyres. Good luck on your search.

Cheers - it is only a bog standard Hyundai on normal tyres, I did look at getting winters but couldn't justify the price to myself.
I am not looking to go off roading as such I just want to get it into snow and see what its limitations are on things like hill starts, soft snow etc.
That would then help with the decision on whether I should go for winter tyres next winter or that the summers would do all that I need them to do.
That's not to say though that if we did get some decent snow then of course you wouldn't see me at my local Lidl car park after hours doing some four wheel drifting...........

Ok due to an unexpected day off tomorrow, seriously thinking about going looking for snow.
Anyone near the likes of Killin, Glenshee etc able to advise what the snow position is just now?
Just want to physically see some snow this winter since there has been nothing here in Lanarkshire! I realise most main roads will be totally clear but even just getting to an area where there might be a snow covered car park or suchlike?

Well I phoned Glenshee this morning and they advised there was no snow at car park level so decided just to drive up the A9 to Cairngorms.
So had a lovely day out, up the A9, had a picnic in the car at Cairngorm car park, then went for walk in the blizzard. Sadly the roads were all cleared so no chance of trying out my car in snow.
Then came back down via Spean Bridge / Fort William / A82, all in 340 miles and a brilliant day out. Had passed the road to Glen Etive when I remembered why it rang a bell so will put that on my next to-go list!
And proof that we did see snow!
