I've just completed my first year of TVR ownership and today my shiny new copy of Steve Heath's bible arrived in the post. How have I gone without this for the past year? I really don't know what I was thinking. The book is superb. Very informative and I will now have a much better idea when it comes to tinkering and doing diy jobs. I imagine it will pay for itself in saved garage labour costs in no time!

Interestingly, I saw several copies on fleabay all going for around the 35 quid mark, plus at least 6 quid postage. Why would you bother when you can get a new one for the same money?

Hi its,not just the bible thats over priced on E bay these days there are a lot of items that are well over priced wing mirrors are one some people want £160 odd for what is a second hand part they are not much more new and you know when you get them they will be OK it seems to be the trend for the last year or so ,there has always been the tvr tax but over the last year they have been asking silly prices thats why they still have tham

Ebay prices - often ridiculous and scant few bargains once TVR is mentioned.

Breakers are the usual suspects - £220 for a buckled estoril alloy, £55.12 for some rusty coolant pipes when new ones are near the same price... (!)

I saw a petrol filler cap up for starting bids of £100 yesterday. ultra rare apparently - yes but it's a bloody petrol cap!

Still if no-one bought this crap they would be out of business so someone must be fuelling these prices..

There are still good buys - I got a brand new lupo light for £25 last week, a set of NGK plugs for £15 and a chrome wiper motor body for £10 but were not listed under TVR!

In the same month that I paid about £600 for a tiv PS rack, I bought a rack for my sons Cinquecento for £11 from the bay.

A vote for PH classifieds here......like minded car nuts make more responsible sellers and mostly price stuff fairly.

I've no idea what it means either, I thought it was just me… one could say that it was a rather 'Strange' thing to write!? Still marketing wise... you know where it is from!!! tongue out

Eitherway, his descriptions, images and prices are much better than the other dealer in the NE.
