Re-using tea bags.

I'm working from home today (er, while not on PH), on such days I usually get through about 10 cups of earl grey.

We have reached the critical situation whereby there is only 2 bags left and its still morning.

Could I re-use the bags?

Depends how long you leave them in - if you go for a quick dip, then there's probably a lot of flavour left. If you leave them to soak for 5 minutes, using them again will be disappointing.

If you let them dry out, you're better off sending a box of 1000 to Somerset for use in flood defence.

I use mint tea bags twice leave it in for the first cup and top up you get one strong cup and a weak one.

Earl Grey I think tastes better using leaves not bags.

I used to have a tiny little steel tea pot which took just enough leaves for a cup of tea (you popped the little pot in your cup and left whilst the tea brewed). No idea what happened to it when I moved house

I'll stock up on EGTB's on the way home.

I agree. Leaves always better. Whittard do great infusers for most tea pot sizes.
