Hi all - I've just taken delivery of my M5 last week and it's going to need its running in service next week. Any recommendations for the best customer service from a BMW dealership in Leeds? I work in the city centre (Park Row) so hire car, free lifts or proximity to a train station would be a good shout.

Scott Hall BMW would probably be your best bet as they're about a mile from the city Centre, never dealt with the service dept, but the parts guys were nice enough.

Your only other choice would be jct, and that's Bradford, but I generally found them nicer to deal with.

You bought an M5 and didn't come to me! :-(

Scotthall no longer exist. It is part of our group now, Stratstone. I can recommend our service here in Harrogate, can't say first hand what Leeds is like though. Go in and have a chat with the service manager, maybe ring first to check he is there. Personal relationships go a long way.

Sorry, Al, it never occurred to me. It was a little spur of the moment. I got chatting with a friend who works for a leasing company and she was talking about deals on used cars and lease deals on "rep-mobiles". I asked if they did any "proper" cars and could they do me a quote on something a bit off their normal catalogue. I ended up getting a stonking lease deal.

As far as servicing goes, as you say, it's the personal relationship that I'm after, hence the call for recommendations.

Harrogate might not be a bad shout for me as it goes. I used to manage getting the Tuscan up to Horseless Carriages and getting the train into Leeds pretty well. Nicer in summer though wink

Well, we do get quite a few M cars in for servicing, at least three or four a week. Last week we had a stunning de-badged M6 Grand Coupe in burnt orange. Hell it was nice.

My experience with BMW Leeds service department has been poor and in the end I sent my car to JCT600 in Bradford.

I have just purchased a new BMW from Wakefield as they were much more responsive and professional than the other BMW dealers I spoke to.

I understand a chap called Graig Hewitt who used to run OPC Leeds Service desk and now does the same at BMW Wakefied. Craig was fantastic to deal with when he was at OPC Leeds, so I will be taking my car to them, providing he is still there.

The German auto place on Stanningley bypass seems to attract good comments, always full of BMW, Mercs & Audi, my mate takes his TT there, very impressed, reasonably priced.

I can vouch for Stratstone in Harrogate. Exceptional service and 100 yards from Pannal train station if you are coming from city square leeds station to collect/ drop.
