Second child due 5 June, what an idiot I am. So no chance of making it this year – Webber, Porsche, World Cup, tropical heatwave, I’m gonna miss a great one!

Learn from my mistake gentlemen, and pay close attention to your “activities” in the September area.

My 2nd came 9th June so missed Le Mans the year he was born (2008).

My 1st came 6 weeks early though (22nd March) which now clashes with European Winter Xgames in Tignes.

You better hope it's not late then you might have a serious problem with Le Mans. The 9th June is just about OK for me most years. He was meant to be delivered by c-section at the end of May but hospital put it back as too busy!

Never heard of No Sex September then OP?

I always thought it would be terrible shame to have to miss your child's birthday every year. Thankfully both mine are later in the year!

It’s our second so I’m hoping will arrive early (statistically likely right?), maybe even end of May! Long term I’m ok, birthday weekend early June, LM trip mid June each year! But abandoning her with a 2 week old this year would have gone down like a sack of ste I think.

My birthday normally happens while at Le mans, which is why I get away with going as I tell the OH 'its my Birthday weekend and I'm going' biggrin

My Dad was never into motorsport or cars so it did not matter wink

That is truly bad planning, I'm lucky, my first isn't due until August

My OH is so awesome, she has no issue me going to LM this year because she came with me last year & understands what it means to me.

Saying that, if I try & go next year, I suspect I will be permanently be unable to have further children.

A little suggestion OP.

A week before the due date, get the castor oil out and spike her drinks with it! And get her chops round your old boy. Something in your man mayo helps bring labour on!

You'll have to sort this out early. An overdue sproglet will ruin all your future LM's.

Good luck

My brother got married on LM weekend in 2004 - in Italy. I was very annoyed, fortunately got divorced within a year so no big deal.

Bit harder with kids though!

Tough luck
