When I was 4 or 5, I remember my Grandma sitting me down with a pomegranate cut in half and telling me it had to be eaten with a cocktail stick, piercing the individual seeds one by one.
Kept me quiet for a couple of hours as I was determined to finish it. Cracking idea by the old girl looking back, intend to do the same with my own kids when I want a bit of peace and quiet.

A bit O/T.
I've got a photo somewhere of me sat astride a giant tortoise in the Galapagos feeding pomegranites to them off the trees. They made wonderful grunting noises while eating them.

My Nan too used to give me them to eat with a pin, it took bleedin' hours. Clever old duck.
Fresh is lovely but the cartons of juice are just vile.
