Space saver wheel - speed and distance records??

Having just completed 1000 miles at some speed on a space saver because I'm far too lazy to get it fixed I wondered if any one else is equally apathetic and / or reckless in this area?

I'd be more interested to hear about how it all went wrong. Keep the space saver on the car until it all fks up.

My space saver has just completed 10 years in the dining room.

Doesn't seem to save much space though.

I had to cover a distance of 180 miles on a space saver after I cracked an alloy wheel on some debris in the middle of the night on the M6. I drove at about 56mph behind a truck most of the way, and it wasn't exactly a lot of fun.

Still, was of more use than a can of tyre foam...
