Speeding fine question

A collegue (honest) of mine at work has been caught doing 38 in a 30mph zone.

Any ideas how much a fine is likely to be?

Hmmmn. If he gets a Fixed Penalty Notice it'll £60...

Depends if 38 is above the threshold for that and they take him to court. If so it appears to be six points and a couple of hundred quid.

I`ve passed that on and he has started planning how he can pay for it, in between moaning about how the police are only doing it as a money making exercise.
