I want this car! 2007 997 Turbo - Midnight Blue with Sand Leather, 23000 miles, PCCB brakes, Cargraphic Exhaust, Air Filter & Remap, Bilstein B16 coilover suspension, air lift system, BOSE, sunroof, nav etc.

I done a deal on this car 20 days ago and paid 25% deposit with a dealer. Car had supposedly been taken in part exchange for a BMW M5.

Dealer pulled out of the deal yesterday, saying the car was actually on Sale or Return and that the owner had pulled out of the deal. I would like to contact the real owner and the dealer says the owner would like to contact me as well, however the dealer will not pass on our details.

Anyway, I would really like to buy this car so if you are the owner, please contact me or, if anyone has something similar available, please let me know! Cash waiting.

I was looking at this before I done my deal and have been talking to Andrew Hamilton about it, two things put me off though, the mileage as I will be adding 12-15k a year and also that it is a convertible, not because I don't like convertibles, but the back seat backs are beyond vertical and don't look very nice for the kids!

I was just about to phone him again to see if its still available (he had someone interested in it yesterday) and see if I could go and see it tomorrow as he says not to be put off by the mileage as its immaculate.

I have a turbo, but always keep an eye on classifieds anyway. I remember looking at this and couldn't help notice that one of the pics has a disc showing a wear indicator?

I must admit the 620bhp appeals but not over keen on the colour and and it has been on the market for months and months which always worrys me a bit. Trouble is, its also a few grand more than the one I done a deal on and I'd still want to spend out on suspension etc.

I think my main problem is that the other one I placed the deposit on had all the bits I wanted and its going to be difficult to find another.

I really like this one too, but, it is totally standard (albeit with PCC's), has been on the market for a long time and is in Ireland! Although the spec is nice, its very low mileage and I like the colour.

I think the Cobalt Blue is better as Midnight Blue and Black cars are harder to keep clean.

Cobalt Blue with Sand Leather

That's true enough, I just prefer the darker colour

Nice car, love the colour but it won't be 620 bhp, original turbos Max out at 550-560 bhp.

That's interesting to know. I have seen quite a few claiming either 608bhp or 620bhp from DMS remap and exhausts! They have a dyno printout in the pics on their own website for this one and I must say it looks like a kids picture of the Rockies it's got so many peaks!!

Air lift system? The turbo is not really that low. Certainly clears spped bumps and I have only had one problem when trying to get into an underground garage.

Yes cobalt. My 996 is cobalt and it does seem to vary a lot in different lights. Much more than any other coloured car I've had.

Its dark enough if you want dark. Polished in a good light it looks electric.

The one I put a deposit on was lowered on Bilstein coilovers and was a bit lower than most

The DMS 600BHP+ upgrade includes new bigger turbos IIRC. Their stage 1 map (~540BHP) which I have, utilises the standard VTGs.

That dealer has unfortunately most likely sold that car you wanted on for more money now that you've had it sorted by Parr. I'd report him to trading standards after getting your deposit back. The dealers behaving like a criminal and someone day will put his nose out of joint.

Cut your losses and move on matey. This is a similar spec/condition car albeit without Cargraphic goodies. The colours dark olive met but it looks black in most light. Its a very nice colour.
