Anyone want to hazard a guess on trade in value of a June 2013 registered DB9.2 with 7.5k on the clock?
Have my price for the GTC V8S now so it's decision time.

Meh.

How did the Bentley drive? Was it as exciting? Did you feel good driving it? If so, who cares, get rid and enjoy a modern car for a while.

There's a GTC in my underground parking; I am painfully drawn to it every time I park my car. I think I prefer it, although probably just because it's different.

I'd take at guess at c£100K plus whatever over-allowance (if any) Bentley want to make against the GTC.

Encouraging thanks Josh. You selling too? You're not trying to beat me to the first UK registered GTC V8S are you?!

Hi

No competition from me smile

Not sure I am selling yet. Really loved the db9.2. Done 3000 miles in a year vs 1000 miles done in the last year of owning the vantage. Used it for the journey to work, a Sunday morning blast here and there and lots of family days out. This is where I have had real enjoyment. It's been great being out with the other half and the brats. But my daughter has just turned 14, had a little growth spurt and now can't sit back in the DB9. So family days are now RRS only frown

So, beginning to think about the rapide S. Looks like the spec is the same or better than the db9.2 but without the ceramic brakes. But not made the buying decision yet. The numbers are not quite where they need to be.

Actually sat in a coffee shop in Walton at the moment and once I have finished this amazing bacon bap I am off to HWM to have a long look at the rapide s. smile

Best regards
Josh

Interested to know what you think of the Rapide S compared to you 9.2.
I was thinking about a Rapide last year before I bought the Virage. But didn't even test drive it as the Virage was perfect for me. 12 months on and the kids have grown a lot since then and will effectively mean I can only get 3 members of the family in it (out of 6), and would be nice to have 4 usable seats again.

Hi

Spent a long time sat in the rapide s today. From the drivers seat it is obviously almost identical to the db9.2. Underneath you have the db9.2 base with a tweak to the engine to give more HP so the rapide sits between vanquish and db9.2.

The rear seats are perfect for my 14 year old and 11 year old. Myself and my wife tried them. I'm 5ft 11 and once in I was fine. But. I think anything longer than a couple of hours and I would be looking for the journey to end. My wife had plenty of room (she's 5 foot 3).

No test drive today. Didn't have time. Really good looking car though. Was behind one in London two weeks ago and it's gets a lot of positive attention.

The reviews are all universally positive. I guess it comes down to this, if you need four seats and want an engaging drive the. The rapide S has to be at the top or near the top of the list.

Thanks for that Josh.
Reading similar views elsewhere has certainly put the Rapide S onto my radar as an alternative in the near future.
