New Park Tools - Maintenance stand - Excellent bit of kit!

Just had this delivered today.



Decided it was a must have item for cleaning the mountain bikes.



So i got down and dirty and set about cleaning both mine and Toms Specialized Mountain Bikes.



With the ability to swivel the whole bike easily though 360 degrees, its makes access so easy, cleaning them both took half the time.



Very impressed with how sturdy it is too, a serious bit of kit!!

They're great aren't they. I couldn't be without mine now, makes setting up brakes and gears so much easier.

Exactly, its such a well made item to for the relatively small outlay!!

I am now looking forwards to getting them dirty again at the weekend so i can clean them and lube them on my new stand again!!

I have one too and it is good. Be careful how tight you clamp any carbon though as you may damage it

^ Good advice. I'd extend that to Aluminium frames too, they tend to be quite thin in the middle. I've seen it done on a Boardman mountain bike a couple of years ago, an LBS had used the stand on the top tube, whilst trying to remove a seized BB. Two nice dents in the tube and a written off frame.

Ironically enough, it was clamped like this to protect the carbon seatpost from the forces required to remove a seized BB
