SLK 32AMG Supercharger

Hi - I have a 2002 SLK 32AMG with a faulty supercharger. I know the intercooler water pump can fail and this has been replaced . The pump appears to be working properly but the supercharger is still not cutting in. The diagnostics says there is too high a temp on the supercharger intake. So what else could be causing that problem if the intercooler water pump is working properly? any ideas would be welcome!

hi tuscanite, now i'm not that much of a technical bod but I also have the same car and had my new pump fitted by a merc specialist. when I got the car back I gave it the beans and got the same result with the supercharger not cutting in. After a search online I got a hint it could be the fuse. I looked in the fuse box and found a blown fuse, after replacing it car was sorted. hope this helps.

I was just going to say the same thing. I've sold mine now but used to have the same problem, it went back to Merc a couple of times with no joy so I did some googling and found that the C32s with the same engine had a higher rated fuse (if I remember rightly it had been upgraded on a recall). I uprated mine and never had the problem again.

Many thanks - i should have mentioned that all fuses have been tested and
appear fine!
