My engine has started blowing clear smoke equally from both of my exhausts. Some people have told me head gaskets and others Oil seperator (Or something like that)

Any ideas People

Hi John,

I have the same car but seldom see any smoke. Briefly on start up some times but it soom clears. I'm sure some "expert" will reply soon. For what it's worth I don't think it sounds like a head gasket.

Will,

Thanks.

Alot of people have been saying that it doesn't sound like a gasket. but when one person says it is always in the back of your mind!

Cheers

What does clear smoke mean?
White smoke normally = water vapour

Get it checked out ASAP, and don't keep driving it until you have.

Good luck.

911 habit,

it smokes cleanly a very blue (oil burning) smoke equally from both pipes. this doesnt happen when the engine is cold, but appears when hot. my idea was possibly that there could be a hairline crack in head / block ????

Also thinking if that is the case its a damned expensive repair !!!

thoughts?
