I know there was a thread about this topic but can't seem to find it. I seem to remember that the consensus was that the adjustable vents were the same as those fitted to certain Triumph and jag models? Any clues as to which parts bin these would have taken from?

I know there was a more recent thread. Look in pridaux' profile, and scan back through his thread contributions. You'll be sure to see it.

Sorry Bernard
What my thread was asking was the external side vents as fitted to Grffith and some V8 Tuscan cars these are not available off the shelf but Rudy has an original at present and we are making a few sets in stainless I think Andy is referring to the Round black plastic ones and yes there was a thread with these on cant remember where but I am sure others will

Just because I saw them on an XK120 at coventry transport museum the other day, but are the Jag Xk120/140 etc ones not the same?

I am sure I contributed a question to that thread too and I cant find it either ......its like "the Twilight Zone" in here sometimes!

I don't have any plastic whatnots on my foot-well vents at all, but then I don't have any foot-well trim either! Does any one know what an S1 foot well vent looks like?

These are larger by about 2 inches much heavier and don't allow for the curve of the body hence why we are not using them

What footwell trim would that be Matt? There isn't much room between the clutch pedal and the footwell tunnel on my car and because I've got big plates (feet for our continental mates) I took the decision to line the tunnel with black Hardura.

As I remember, so possibly not correct....

The Triumph saloon, Stag, Dolomite, etc 'eyeball' vents were a little larger than the original Vixen ones, but they would probably work in the footwells as they aren't that much bigger. I think the originals were indeed Jag ones.

I would have thought these would work fine there are a lot of different ones around as they are fairly hidden under the dash not as important than in the dash IMOP

I thought they were Rover P5 vents. The parts list I have from the TVRCC states:
Eye ball 1" vent Rover 3.5 Saloon/Coupe S1-S2
Eye ball vent TR6 S2-S3-S4

The P5 style vents were fitted to the corners of the dash on early Vixens but the footwell vents were the bullseye style. There are some P5 vents up on ebay at the moment if anybody needs a pair.
