Digital camera printer help

I was thinking of getting my dad a direct printer for this digital camera for Christmas. The model I was thinking of was the HP Smart 145.
He only uses his camera to take snaps, but would like to print them without having to use the PC.
Does anyone have any experience of the HP printer? Any help would be great.

I have one of those, but the one with the screen on. Bloody great printer and does 6x4 in no time. Rymans have the HP Premium Phot Paper on offer at the moment. Just paid 3.99 for a pack of 20 6x4 sheets - Product id Q1991A

I looked a various printers recently and ended up with the epson r300. its got a built in card reader so no pc required and it can do a variety of sizes upto A4 rather than just 6x4 and it will print letters etc if required. best of all they will be about the same price on t'internet
