Just stumbled across this, 6.2 vs 7.2gt3. I thought the 7 would walk away but clearly not!!!

Great vid, both drivers clearly know their way round the ring. However, I'd say the 6 driver seems more in-tune (although it's much easier to follow than lead at the ring) and therefore seems to carry more speed through corners than the 7 dude. What is clear for me is the 7 does show a clear power advantage when the track opens up though.Would be great to hear opinions from from anyone that's had/has both ..

For a moment there I thought I had been transported into the turbo section. No surprise to see monsieur démon up in here. Thats his sort of benchmark test. The open road, dead straight, single gear change only, rolling starter showdown. The high noon of all car tests.
It used to be that those, " i guess you needed to be there" moments remained innaccurately awesome in the minds of those who were and forever elusive to those being told. Now they take up 50% of youtube and shatter the illusions for both sides. Reality is an unforgiving lens. Im glad there were no camera phones when I was a kid. Almost all my greatest moments wouldnt stand up to that sort of scrutiny.
But hey, its 2014 and everyone needs to masturbate in public right?

3025lbs and 380hp v 3450lbs and 435hp (since the 7.2 is 2 up) leaves you power to weight figures that are almost identical and you cant get a sheet of paper between them. Its not anymore complicated than that.
The 6.2 GT3 is as quick as a 7.1GT3 (and RS) and a match for a 7.2 GT3 until you get north of 150mph. The 7.2RS will blow all of them away. Usual caveats apply...
