280i fuel tank

Hello all,
Pulled the drivers side tank out of my 280i today as it was leaking from the breather pipe next to the filling point on the tank. The small pipe has come off of the tank all together, after looking under the car it looks like the passenger tank is plastic. Does anyone know where to get a plastic tank for the drivers side?

Hi Mate...That breather pipe just needs soldering back on and the dent taken out of the filler and it should be good to go mate, It was a nearly new tank 3 years ago and has always been used so should be good for years to come....There is a place called Tech tanks that make plastic fuel cells but when i enquired they said they would only make a reserve tank and NOT a main tank...I was also thinking about a twin sender unit which some boats have..Then just an LED indicator with two bars that light up to the amount of fuel in the tanks...Instead of one sender for two tanks???...Thats never made sense.....Ziga
