Opinions on a Defender

Hi folks,
It would seem I'm the highest bidder on a 90 TD5 complete with galvanised chassis rebuild, (I can't get hold of the seller on his mobile to arrange collection at the moment). Does anyone happen to know the particular vehicle and what's the general consensus on the price? I feel it's fairly reasonable if all is as described. Is there anything beyond the normal stuff that I should be checking out given it's had a new chassis?

Looks tidy from the pictures, but a small description...... did you go and see it? Description was quite clear about coming to see it and not bidding, then winning, then looking then haggling I've had that happen to me.... it'll still happen though....

Is 126 miles high? I was always led to believe the TD5 was brilliant, I understand its easy to chip and getting it running like a Discovery TD5. Nice colour and looks good inside, would like to see the seats under the covers......

Having said that I used Exmoor Trim for some seats and they look damned good, so for not much money you could completely refresh the inside.

I think it looks nice...... just make sure you do something with it and not just the school run (unless you live on the Somerset Levels)
