Could we do about 80 miles in an hour?

Needs to carry one person from Southamptonish to Portland and back.

Depends on the type of helicopter. From c.£300 p/h for a small piston to c. £900 p/h for a nice twin turbine.

Most light helicopters cruise at 100-130kts (so, c.125 mph depending on type). Of course that is airspeed, so you'd +/- the wind component.

Robinson - A small helicopter R22 is a 2 seater R44 is a 4 seater although the majority of pilots I work with say they would refuse to go in one!

It seems what we require is between 75 and 90 minutes, currently being quoted upwards of £1000, I can;t get it near to the £300/hr mentioned above, I think it will have to be a plane with wings and wotnot.
