Mates

Any advice on best glue to use to re-attach some OEM heat insulation matting back onto a transmission tunnel ? Matting is fibreglass type weave with a foil front, and has just come away over time.

Thinking of evostik or araldite (although that won't go very far)....

Can't find anything in Demon Tweeks or similar for a specific product...

Regular aerosol spray adhesive. I'd think your ideas would be overkill.

I can definitely say that evostik works on car carpet, just don't have the car windows closed if you're working with it inside the car!wobble

Thanks for the advice all. Of course, I'm gluing on the cooler side anyway, so off for some evo-stik in the morning.

If this was carpet I was trying to work into a curved profile I would use evostick.
If you just want the insulation to hang in place until the carpet is fitted then spray carpet adhesive from screwfix will do the job fine.
