Recommend me a set of knives
Discussion
I have a set of these as cheapies:

and I would recommend them. Spend the change on one good Japanese knife.

Where is the best place to get a reasonably priced Japanese blade then?

Where is the best place to get a reasonably priced Japanese blade then? Slightly "idiosyncratic" looking website but the service is second to none - 3 days for delivery from Japan for $7 delivery charge! I have bought a number of knives of truly outstanding quality from them.

I like various ones...
Stellar knives.
Some cheapo but razor sharps cleavers from the Chinese supermarket.
Finnish Knives thanks to OH.
Odd funky Japanese one.
No way I go near global unless on some magical 80% off sale.
Excuse my ignorance what is OH? CheersStellar knives.

That's what I have been thinking. Maybe get a set of cheap knives for less than 20 quid and spend 30-40 on one good small/medium sized knife.
As suggested. This is what I have from that site http://japanesechefsknife.com/MolybdenumSeries.htm...

Try a few different brands, decide which you like the 'feel' of, then buy one good knife and sharpen it religiously.
