Why do the Porsche Approved Car Locator and the OPC websites persist with this POA nonsense? They then advertise the same cars on sites like Autotrader or Pistonheads with the P very much not OA.

Soon as I see POA I don't go any further with an enquiry.
It tells me it's overpriced and the seller wants to break the news of the over inflated price to me gently over the phone.

Absolutely, it screams of arrogance, misguided and reduces the chance of people enquiring about the car.

Its more to do with Porsche GB dictating to OPC's that demo cars can not be advertised with a price on their official Porsche website. I think it has to be more than 3 or 6 months old before a price can appear
The same dealer will quite often advertise the same car on Autotrader or PH with a price

Who knows. Thats certainly not the case with non OPC's though and in any case there are more than just demo cars with POA on the OPC's websites.

It certainly seems that they never list a price for demonstrators. Is this simply because they can't post an accurate figure for the mileage?

It's actually a demo vehicle that prompted my little rant - it's on the OPC website as POA, but if you search on Autotrader using the OPC postcode, up comes the same car, with a price.

I realise it's only a little extra work or that I could just use Autotrader on its own, but I like the 'Advanced Search' option on the Porsche site.

Why make it more difficult for buyers to see information about your stock?
