Are these DSVs still operational and in the North Sea?

I seem to remember the Marianos being mothballed in Leith a few years ago.

Mayo is now called the PMS Mayo and was last seen in Suez according to AIS.

Mermaid Commander was working off Thailand last I saw.

Although the Mayo and the Marianos don't fit the category for me, I did wonder about starting a "Unpleasant boats I have been on" thread.

  • DSV Stephaniturm.
  • Norlift (when it was still NOS).
  • Maxita.
  • Falcon (pre pipe-lay conversion).
I never had the pleasure of being on the Lowland Cavalier.

There are some vessels that most people would think of as being bad but they hold a place in my heart - mostly due to there being a good crew and a good atmosphere. Aquamarine (Ocean Tech / DSND days) and Alliance spring to mind.

Fond memories of the Mayo. Was my first air diving job offshore in the late 90's.
