I have OEM bucket seats in my 996 GT3, I assume on standard brackets and slider. After some experimentation I think i will be a lot more comfortable if i can tilt the seat backwards (raise the front by 15-20mm). Question is.....how?

Looked closely at the existing brackets and it doesn't look like you can modify these to work, even if you drilled new holes the seat starts to jam against the bracket etc. So will need new brackets - Design911 has a selection plus BK range of products so i think it's pretty straightforward....but none of these have the same belt/harness mounting points that my current seat has. How do you mount seat belt and harnesses correctly with non standard seat brackets?

At the moment i have a mounting point on the left bracket (centre console side) with the lhs harness and seat belt attached. The right bracket also has a mounting point with the seat belt attached. The rhs harness lap belt attaches to the car chassis on the same bolt as the cage. Is it possible to get a longer bolt and collar to attach harness and belt to the chassis cage point?

want to make sure i don't bodge the safety here!

current bracket is:

Thanks, looks like BK brackets are the way to go. Will fit onto standard sliders and found some posts on Rennlist confirming they tilt the seat back vs standard.

Also found this site for Recaro seat spares - ordered a new seat belt guide as one of mine is a bit scratched

Cheers for that. So essentially jacking up the front mount is the only way?
Looks like you have about 30mm lift there.
Does the rear fixing still sit ok and sliders work?

I could not find any way . Checked on Rennlist forums as well .

They jack up the front and the sliders work fine . The more travel forwards the steeper the rake .

I've used the BK lowering mounts for about 8 years, in a 996 and a 987. I think they slightly raise the front and substantially lower the rear.
