Where to get engine mounts

As title, Samy needs engine mounts. Can't find number and type in the Bible.

Anyone got some recently. How many are needed and how much?

Thanks Phil. I hate using the search engine - mainly because I never seem to be able to find the information I'm looking for. It was also very late

In Morzine a few years ago a mate and I were searching the same subject on Google and came up with two different sets of search results.

Probably go with the RD £6 jobbies for now as they do the steering UJs too or the Robush ones for easier install.

Should have mentioned Samy's a V6 (SC3).

A couple of years ago I decided I needed to raise the engine by an inch to improve ground clearance. replaced my engine mounts with these (item number: 20-01279-01 from www.robush.co.uk)
I went for one 50mm diameter and 70 mm thick. It makes them a lot easier to fit having only one stud protruding. I have the stud downwards and an M12 bolt on the top.
Hint - If you do this and the subsequently want to remove the gearbox, remove the engine mounts or it is a real pain in the .....

If you use 70mm thick mounts you could end up with engine / bonnet clearance issues.

I used the 50mm heavy duty Pinto engine mounts ( part no. FP292 ) from
www.burtonpower.com
£8.95 each plus p/p.
You need two. Mine seem to be doing the job ok after 2 years.

On an S1 2.8 there is JUST about enough room for 70mm mounts - couldn't say for the 2.9 or even V8

Robush have a couple of 50mm thick mounts. Waiting to hear from someone before ording parts and finding time to install before the 28th.

Samy's a 2.9 so I'll not risk the 70mm ones.

I'm having clearance issues on a 2.9 with 50mm mounts in, managed to get about 4mm clear with a bit a faffing about. I think 70mm mounts would be near impossible

I used the same as Glennrobbo on my S3. No problems afterwards whatsoever, and a monumental difference on gear stick bounce when driving!

Just received my engine mounts today part No.FP292 72 Dia. x 50 th'k. as per the ones in situ getting the X-Works to install them.
