Lightening adaptor

Is there a Lightening adaptor that works for connecting an iPhone 5 to the PCM in a 997.2?

I bought a generic cheapy on Amazon and although it charges the phone, it isn't recognised by the PCM.

Don't mind buying a genuine Apple convertor if it is known to work.

I've suffered the same problem. I have the cheap one that does a basic connection as you know, but I agree you may need to buy the real McCoy.

The Apple converter works fine. Get the one with the short cable to make it all an easier fit in the centre console cubby.

In a 997 you need the Porsche USB+Din to 30 pin adaptor (that ought to come with the car) as well as an Apple 30 pin to lightning adaptor (as discussed above) to get the phone to talk to the car and play your music. Just plugging in the USB doesn't work. In a 991 you can just plug in a USB to lightning cable.

Genuine. Apple have inserted a chip into all lightening cables / adapters now. So unless a manufacturer has paid Apple to use the chip, it won't work.
