Window Tint Removal - Glasgow?
Discussion
It will more or less just peel off. Use some of these: http://www.diy.com/nav/fix/handtools/knives-replac...
to remove the film, then just get some tar & glue remover on the window and again use the blade to scrape the glue off.

On a similar note, I am looking for window film not for aesthetics but for heat/UV reduction in to my car, does any one know if you can get a legal film fitted to car windows? And a good supplier/fitter?
Cheers

Location? National Windscreens usually do it but if near Inverness I would go here.... http://www.cartecsolutions.co.ukCheers

Colin is ex national windscreen alarm/window/electrics dude and I believe he has just started that dipping wheels in liquid stuff. He does all my windows/electrics.

Diamond window tints in Rutherglen do tint removal. They'll also put a lighter tint on for you that's not as much trouble with Police.
I've got front tints but never had Police bother me as their quite light.
He also does transparent UV stuff aswell I'm sure. Sun film or something I think.
Give him a call, very helpful guy and top work!

Don't they say that even the lightest tint on the front sides take you over the illegal limit? They do look good I have to say but on a dark unlit road, I see where the police are coming from with regard to safety.
That's how I understood it. Anything on the front windows at all takes it overt he limit. A few of us got stopped going to Crail when the legislation all seemed to kick of. So probably about 10 years ago now! Cops at the time said to take them of there and then. My mate started to haul his of, took the tint of fine but left all the glue! I point blank refused to do it there so got a week to get them of and get it checked by vosa. Hair dryer and a bit of patience they came of with no hassle.
