Just got home from work. What a night, slates are rattling and the wind is tearing around the house. just been in the garage and the doors look like they might buckle. I wonder if anyone is out in their Aston tonight, or if it is parked outside how many times they have been out to check it is alright.

Now that you have mentioned all that, I have just started fretting... Still there... outside, wet, lonely but stoic and showing a British stiff upper lip! The car that is.

Yeah it's that windy here that some of the girls are putting their coats on as they head out for an evening of drunkeness and debauchery. Definitely unheard if in my lifetime.... Blah blah....... wink

Sorry I did not want to worry you. I am up in the Northwest and it is really blowing. It might be better where you are. I have a tree house in the garden which I am a bit worried about though.

Only start worrying when you have the tree in the house!

Its blowing more powerfully then the hydraulics on the gates so they were flapping around hehe (bolted down now)
The "river" (more like a lake) has 2ft waves on it yikes

We wondered how you were getting on Mikey - hope the river doesn't get any closer.

We've been on (& off & on & off etc) flood alert since about 23rd December & today was the closest the water got to us. Looks like we got away with it today but with more to come it looks like we could be fighting a loosing battle frown At least the power has come back on 'cos that was a low point this evening - no Pistonheads! eek

You're right Darren, it's more than just windy tonight. I drove through Blackpool on my way home and its taken a real battering. Some reports claim over £6 worth of damage already!
