Evening gents,

Had a bit of an issue when it came to bleeding my brakes today. Got the nearside rear off to find the 11mm bleed nipple was rounded to farck. 11mm spanner slipped and a 10mm was too small. So...

Got a metal file out and started defining 2 sides to the nut so I could get the 10mm spanner on. I then spent the next hour with a hammer and a 10mm hex socket gradually bashing it onto the nipple, removing it then filing down edges. After bashing my thumb a few times I was finally getting somewhere. Could eventually get the 10mm socket on by hand with a bit of force so I then tidied up with a bit of wet and dry paper on a ruler.

20 applications of WD40 later and a good scrub with some Gunk foam and she finally budged.

Now have a rather tidy 10mm bleed nipple! beer Made me feel like I did something worthwhile! biggrin

Always knew there was a good reason why I leave the bleeding brakes to someone bleeding else....especially after the last/only time I meddled with them (as Alun450 knows).
I now have front brakes where all you have to do to change the pads is remove a hairgrip and pull the pads out. Still don't trust myself to get it right.

So well done fella - must have left you with a huge feeling of satisfaction..... and a huge thumb too hehe
